Make a Joyful Noise

God’s people have long expressed in music that for which words are not enough.

Hear Our Singers in New St. Mary's

The St. Mary’s Choir includes singers ranging in age from high school to senior adults upholding a tradition of anthems and service music in the Anglican style. We prepare a wide variety of music for the 11 a.m. worship services each week, from Byrd to Bach to Bairstow and beyond.

Highlights of the fall choir season include the Advent Service of Lessons and Carols, following the traditions set by the King’s College Choir in Cambridge, England, and A Choral Eucharist on All Saints’ Sunday.

New Talent Is Always Welcome

The choir remains open to new volunteer singers. The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., and sings at the Sunday 11 a.m. service from September through late May or early June, as well as at the Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Week services.

Our repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to recently composed works. The choir also offers several services of Choral Evensong throughout the year.

Interested singers should ideally have some previous musical experience, whether choral or instrumental, as the choir maintains a brisk rehearsal pace. For more information or or to schedule a brief interview and audition, contact our Director of Music.
