Children
St. Mary’s Children’s Ministry
Through our nursery, Sunday School, and worship programs, St. Mary’s is committed to creating a community for children where they are known, loved, and belong.
Our Offerings for Children
School-age children spend time together on Sunday learning from faithful adults, and the youngest ones enjoy toys and peers under the watchful eyes of caregivers.
Have questions? Contact our Lay Associate for Christian Formation for more details about our children’s offerings.
Sunday School
Four-year-olds through fifth graders gather for Sunday School at 10 o’clock.
If the temperature is 55+ degrees and the weather is dry, we hold Sunday School outdoors on the nature trail at the back of the campus, near the Youth Education Building.
If it is chilly or rainy, we will gather in the Block Room before breaking into smaller groups.
Children’s Chapel
Children’s Chapel meets during the 11 o’clock service.
Children are invited during the Gospel hymn to join the Clergy in the Block Room. During this time, children hear the Gospel story, have time for prayer, and sing. They return to the service during the passing of the peace.
Nursery Care
The nursery opens at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings and runs through the end of the 11 o’clock service.
Our nursery staff is ready to care for infants through children aged 4.
Register Your Child
So that we may stay connected with your family, please take a moment fill out a registration form for your child(ren). This information helps us have updated and accurate information, especially birth dates. We don’t want to miss a single one!
Volunteer With Us
The outdoor format for Sunday School means we need parent volunteers who are willing to check kids in, pass out snacks, and guide kids from a big group setting to a smaller classroom.
These volunteer roles require no preparation and are flexible around your availability. A team of 15-20 parents can rotate every few weeks to assist.
Vacation Bible School & On-the-Go Camp
Vacation Bible School (ages 4 through rising 3rd graders) and On-the-Go Camp (rising 4th and 5th graders) will be Monday-Thursday, June 9-12, 2025. Sign up below when registration opens in April.
